Bagheera in the Lakes brings the cafés, homes, and street food stalls of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, as well as the vibrant food scene of Bangalore, to Keswick — dosas, curries, biryani, and a South Indian-inspired cocktail list, all under one roof.

From Bangalore to Keswick
George trained in hospitality at Christ University, Bangalore, before working the floor at Ebony and the 13th Floor Cocktail Lounge. He's called the Lake District home since 2006.
Every dish on the menu carries a flavour from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, or Andhra Pradesh — gently spiced, built for a Keswick evening.
Heat, used deliberately
Spice here isn't about intensity for its own sake — it's calibrated, dish by dish, the way George learned it. Char and flame are tools, not theatre.
Every plate is built to be enjoyed, not endured.
Part of a Lake District family
Bagheera sits alongside Merienda, Casa Bella, and Ivy House — sister restaurants across Cumbria, each with its own table waiting.
By night, the cocktail list takes over — built around the same South Indian pantry as the kitchen.
For tables of eight or more, or if online booking isn't working for you, call us directly and we'll sort it out.
